imagici, 2009-current

imagici is a virtual art form that translates my art experience into a comprehensive structure. The original art exists in many forms but the images and texts that document these works are represented here in a website, following this metaphysical structure. The format of a website allows for a more contextualized understanding of the artwork and brings cohesion to the multi-faceted form of my experience as an artist.

I am often inspired or discouraged by the art process and this website design also includes insights into how my relationship with art making has developed. In viewing the images and documents there is the potential for overlap among categories. Any visitor's sequence of viewing the images is indeterminably unique and subjective. The images and ideas can be readily traced to other themes, mediums, or people who influence my work.

Like our interactions with other people or with new places, an individual can navigate this site and pursue the ideas and images that interest them. Alternately, they can choose to challenge their own inclinations by exploring the more obscure recesses of the work I have made. It is my intention that people visit and part with this website at will, that I broaden conventional concepts of art making and that I help create a more profound understanding of the value of art.
